Getting seriously bored of hero and the Gold Richie event seems like a good time to make a new character. Think I'm going to go for a corsair. I anyone wants to make some mules (HS, rep, HB, etc) then this event is a good opportunity to do so.

It can't complete the download since it says that one file already exists and cannot be replaced o.O I've uninstalled maple and trying to get it back now. This happened at the last patch too

Do what you did last time?

Uhm, you tried redownload? (detele EVERYTHING with maple) and reinstall?
Is your firewall blocking ms?
You tried to download with manual patch?

If it's no disk activity and the patcher is stuck on same place for a long time, the file is probably corrupted.
head to maplestory folder(probably::\Nexon or C:\Program Files\NEXON or C:\Program Files\Wizet) the best is to check all three locations to be 100% sure.

Generic location is %ProgramFiles%\NEXON or %ProgramFiles%\Wizet. You will need to copy and paste this in the address bar within Windows Explorer in order to get to these location.
Delete these files (if they exist):
Make sure you turn on extensions for known file types: In any explorer window, Tools->Folder Options->View, then uncheck "Hide extensions for known file types". This way, you can actually see the extensions rather than guessing whether the file is the right one.

Patcher.info
Patcher.log
Patcher.txt
Version.info
Restart the client.
Most generic, all-inclusive fix:
Download the installer and verify it with the information listed below.
Uninstall the game from the Add/Remove Programs control panel.

Head to the MapleStory folder
Most likely location is C:\Nexon or C:\Program Files\NEXON or C:\Program Files\Wizet. It is best to check all three locations just to make sure!

Sorry, I don't know anything about this stuff =0. It only happened to me one time and that was when I changed the name maplestory into something else xD. Mayby you should ask on europe forems if kakemann's thing doesn't work! Good luck ):!

Kakemann, you have no idea how much I wish you were here! I've uninstalled and reinstalled maple with no luck at all. I've just completed a system restore back to August 31st but I don't think it worked properly... I'm going to try reinstalling again now

I'm going to be away in London Saturday and Sunday so I guess I'll have to keep trying after the weekend. Hope you're all enjoying the events!
